Park Fruit Farm orchards near Frinton-on-Sea, near the Essex-Suffolk border were planted in 1935.

We grow 39 varieties of apples, 10 varieties of plums and damsons, 4 varieties of pears, 3 varieties of raspberries and 1 variety of blackberry. We are a small family run farm which is now into the third generation. We are very well known locally since we have a busy  farm shop, where we sell the majority of all the fruit grown on the farm and many other farm products.

The shop is part of the pack house so you may often see the grader being worked and apples being sorted as they come in from the orchards, or put into the cold store.

We press our own apple juice which is available straight from the press, it is pure and untreated, unlike any other apple juice you will find in the shops. When you visit the farm, you may try the different apple juices that has recently been pressed. You are also welcome to see the pressing. For more information see the apple juice page.

We have all the different apple varieties available to taste before you buy, as they come into season.

The Plum Orchards are generally open from mid/late July through to October, for Pick Your Own and the cane fruit orchard is open from mid June through to November. It is always best to phone before coming to check on the availability of the crops and when picking always go to the far end of the rows first as usually the fruit is more plentiful and of better quality.

The farm can be reached by car, or there are plenty of short cuts by foot or by bicycle. It is about ½ mile from the nearest bus stop and train station. See the  map page.

For a full description of all the fruit varieties, Pick Your Own, and ready picked availability, please see the fruit varieties page.

We press our own apple juice once or twice each week, which is sold, fresh straight from the press.

Pure cider vinegar is made from our fresh apple juice, and is very popular, having a good flavour for salads and as a  marinade ingredient.

Fresh vegetables sourced locally are available in our farm shop, as are garden plants propagated at a local nursery, and locally reared meats along with high quality icecream produced in nearby Suffolk.

Honey sold in the farm shop is produced by a local beekeeper, and honey produced locally to where you live is known to help in combatting hayfever.  A range of jams and chutneys is also produced locally, some using fruit grown on the farm.

The farm is very near to the coast, near Walton-on-the-Naze, Frinton-on-Sea, Harwich and Clacton. If you are visiting the area, and you are interested in English Apples, Orchards or farms - please call in.

For much more information about the farm, or to order any fruit or juice, please telephone us or browse the website.
